The client was opening a new restaurant and required a website that would showcase its values and branding. The client wanted a design that was essential and minimal, yet reflected a sense of opulence.
The focus is on the essentials. The use of the colour purple and in particular the dark eggplant colour conveys a sense of luxury, of opulence. That, combined with the high-quality imagery focused on the food informs the user that they are in for a special experience.
The logo was based on the Japanese mon, where it is frequently used as a means of providing a distinctive motif for a businesses, an individual or a family.
